Fresh veggies

Last night I finished up beet and then attached all the glass bead bugs and berries. It's a little crooked as I was in a hurry to get the picture taken, uploaded and shown.

Ice bound

We should be at church this morning but ice is something I don't drive on....most roads are mostly clear, mostly? well not completely apparently and overpasses definately aren't and some were even closed....why chance it....

So it's a longer day of stitching since we are stuck home. I usually watch NBC news but lately have switched to CBS....Never get to see Sunday news and today I found I really like CBS Sunday morning....such wonderful uplifting stories(Charles Osgood and others). Such a change from all the horrible story coverage everyday.

I finished SamSarah fresh pepper and have started Fresh garlic.
You can't see the garlic yet as the outline is close to the background but once the W parchment fills it in it should pop.  Just Beet is to do after Garlic.

I hope to post Wip pictures soon of the other 3 I have going.

Frame search

I have a box of odd sized frames and was inventorying them. In my quest and pulling finishes to put in them I ran across my last finish of 2012 that I didn't show....As much as I like Prairie Schooler, this was only my 2nd (oops, forgot the ornaments) 4th PS finish for 2012.

It's a freebie bookmark called recipe that I changed to my initials.

I found 11 frames that I believe will work for some of my pieces.....a good start as well as the 10 or so that I already had put aside for other pieces.....only about 200 more to finish up. LOL  I know I'm not the only one that hangs or sticks in a drawer most of their finishes.....if I won the lottery I would go to town framing the rest but until then it's a few at a time.

Ahhhhh

I love this piece...it was tedious but fun to do....40 ct. silk gauze(over 1 petit). It measures 3 3/4 x 4 3/4. Love everything about this....the acorns, fall leaves and the wonderful prayer.

First finish for 2013

I started the SamSarah Farmer's Market series as I posted earlier....here is Pea....I've started on onion next.
I'm parking the threads for the continuing pattern at top and bottom. some of those won't be completely crossed till I get to the end of the row. These have cute glass beads to add at the end....one of them will end up being a bug....so adorable.

progress

sorry, no new pics....I am sooo close to finishing my silk gauze piece that I don't want to show progress just a finish picture.
I felt like starting a larger count piece since everything else is 40ct or over 1. So I started Samsarah Farmer's Market and am just about done with the first chart....border may be saved to do all as one so there isn't a break in the lines.

Magazines galore

Okay, I've gone through a large majority of my magazines.....I haven't done Just Cross Stitch  or Cross stitch & Country Crafts(needleworks)...I may end up with some Just cross stitch to add.
Otherwise I've put in the sale albums FTLOCS, Stitchery, Stitcher's world, Cross Stitch Sampler, Needlewords, Leisure arts. Go to my sale tab at the top and find the link that takes you to magazines in my photobucket. I've got them each in their own individual folder. Or if you want message me and I will send you a list.

Revisiting

I spent part of today looking through my magazines to see what things I've been wanting to do from them.....I've come to the conclusion that if I haven't ever chosen anything from one or have stitched all I want from it  then it will be going into my sale bin. I have FTLOCS from it's inception but only for a few years that I've pulled some from as well as Cross Stitch Sampler which was a wonderful magazine and Needlewords before the name change, The stitchery and Stitcher's world just to name a few. I will mention in my post when they get uploaded.

Catch up

I don't have any new finishes to show.....I've been working on 2 Wips and making good progress.
Here are 5 ornaments I've stitched last year but I still haven't done any finishing.

Also, here are 3 things I've done for my mom. She made a pillow out of 3 of the PS Santas then framed two of the pictures. She likes more room between the stitching and the frame. I think she does a wonderful job of lacing and will be recruited to do all of my lacing so I can frame things up a bit less expensively by just purchasing the frames.

Happy New Year

Today is a busy day for me....I take down Christmas decorations and put up Snowmen decos for January. Also a good time to deep clean those rooms again since they will be less cluttered.
Right now I am at my desk going through the files to burn unneeded papers for 2012 and set up the rest of the tax papers and get all warranty items in their designated folder....in other words catching up on paperwork and purging unneeded. I always feel good when this is done as it's a fresh start each year. So I've done a tiny bit of cleanup here on my blog and have my finishes list for 2013 ready to start filling in. I had 82 finishes for 2012 less than the 114 for 2011 but that's okay, I had some nice sized pieces in there too and any more than 1 is GREAT in my mind.

I also added a bunch of fabric and some patterns to my sales albums in photobucket....they aren't shown individually on my sale page here but you can get the links there to go to photobucket albums individually. Also there is a for postage only album that I would LOVE to completely clear out.
