A tad bit of a challenge

I LOVE biscornus and so wanted to do a 15 sided one. So here is Just Nan's floral fifteen. It's 4 1/4" across....so a nice sized one.

Some recent finishes

The first two are from older magazines....so many to do.
This one is from an old JCS and is Prairie schooler's coffee break

This one is Marjolein Bastin's four seasons collection

This is Bent Creek's Branch series....the buttons and snaps in the border I had to come up with as it wasn't made known to Hoffman & some shops that the first chart doesn't include all the embellishments only snaps for the owl. Oh well. ;)

A wonderful day of finishing finishes

I have a major stack of finishes that are unfinished.
My Mom cut the strips and I sewed them to the stitching, Mom finished them up after I left. the fabric was all part of my Mom's stash....none purchased specifically for the project.
Many more pics to come.
This first one is Sweetheart Tree Happy Halloween

This one is from one of my magazines....can't recall the name at the moment.

CEC McAcorn-the fabric match was a wonderful bonus.

A day of finishing

I'm getting really excited and can't wait to show you all, My mom & I spent 5 hours today finishing up some of my pieces. We've got 14 with the framing strips and padding sewn on....next step will be to sew the backs on then turn and close up. The fabric is really finishing them off.
Also, my mom finished my 2 sided stocking and one of my fall pieces last week.

Fall is in the air!

This is Lizzie Kate's Gather a Harvest. This fall stitching is getting me ready for cooler temperatures, I think. I don't really want it to cool off, but it is inevitable.

One of my recent finishes

This one is LHN little women....I changed a few colors as the ones that came with it didn't show well....dye lots. I have to say I didn't enjoy stitching on this banding over one....It was so rough it kept shredding the crescent colors.

This is M Design's Maw Maw's quilt. Finally got it framed for Mother's day as her gift. I didn't use the suggested fabric, I think it turned out very nice....though a friend of mine will say it's 'mushy colors' LOL.
I need to post some more of my finishes. I'm up to 19 for 2009 so far. Granted some are small ornament size but several are large such as samplers and stockings.

I LOVE this weather.....spent a bit of time outside today enjoying it. My daughter took this picture of one of our trees last month....I think she is pretty handy with a camera.
Bought some decent tennis shoes so now the walking continues without foot pain(I hope). My goal is to be able to do the Breast cancer walk next month in full.

New for me

Well, I've set up my blog finally....need to work out all the details but I'M HERE! LOL.
It's turned out to be a cool day.(miss the 70-80 degree days). I've gotten the laundry done and was stitching for a bit but ended up taking a nap to lose this headache.
I'm working on a Prairie schooler Spring Sampler.....just love PS. Hope to post pics of my finishes for the year....I've done 10 so far.
