Drawn thread calendar covers. Nice to have them come one at a time to stitch up and wait for the next one. Now if only I'd finish my finishes that quickly.
I did finally frame up my Crossed Wing Redtail Hawk I did last year. It fits perfectly in a 12 x 12 ready made frame from Michaels(the type for scrapbooking pages or albums)....it has a nice burnished finish on the frame and the finished product looks great in my grouping of pictures above the entertainment center.

Charming little bee finish & another
I have loved this Bee Charmer biscornu since I first saw it a couple of years ago. It is by Indigo Rose.
.
Also, couldn't resist Lizzie Kate's One hundred years chart. Note: If you plan to stitch this the center on the chart is mismarked and the left and bottom column/row are more than 100 stitches. I have let LK know. I used Gloriana silks on this...a green/gold & Topiary.
This chart is for sale for $4 + actual postage

A touch of color to welcome Spring
This is a CEC freebie 'The colors of my garden' that is to go along with the Star spangled stars....don't see the theme here except for the red/white/blue but it will be made into a star anyway.
I would have had another finish last night but I left out one stitch on a letter and it threw the row off. So Mr. Frog was kicked out and I am finishing up sometime this weekend. I have a busy holiday weekend that starts today so I don't know when I will get to stitch.
I am also back to working on my redwork snowmen blocks for the quilt. (It's about time).
Have a Happy Easter everyone.

A wonderful birthday gift
My birthday was last month. My friend, Nancy, had told me she was working on a gift for me. I couldn't imagine what she would be stitching. Well, I should have guessed it would be one of my favorites, Prarie Schooler. Aren't these floss tags wonderful. She does such beautiful stitching and these are over 1. I LOVE them. Thank you again, Nancy.

I'm moving up
to a little a larger piece. It is 2 by 9.
This is Homespun Elegance Welcomes a plenty III-crow welcome. I had a piece of hand-dyed fabric in my stash that I liked with these colors....The scan is a little washed out looking.
I will sell ths leaflet for $2 + actual postage. It has 4 different design options. SOLD

Acorns galore
My last couple of posts have been acorns....Seems to be one of the things I like about CEC
This one is called Little Acorn. It is a bit larger 2 1/2 by 2 1/2. Have a bit of an idea how I want to finish them...will post when I actually do.

Cross-eyed cricket finishes
Here are 2 more finishes.
This is CEC 2010 carrot freebie. I made a few changes in the pattern. I have the carrot series already done and display them each Easter. My mom is the one that is good at this type of finishing...but I'm learning and help when I can.
These are from Leaflets # 242, 243 Rabbit's garden & Rabbit's delight
This is the September acorn ABC from Acorns fall from CEC
I see all the finishes I did this week and start to feel a bit guilty about my stitching time....but I did get DD's room finished on the painting after tedious wallpaper and paste removal and she & I will have fun arranging everything back in there. The house is picked up and cleaned....the last load of laundry is in.
I do know that my stitching time will end up being evenings only very soon as the weather is warming up and outside duties will be calling me....I guess that's why I don't feel bad that the cold winter months is when I get lots of stitching time.(well, I don't ever really feel guilty about it lol).
