I just late last night put in the last stitches on this piece...it's over 1 on 28ct. The gold doesn't show up in the picture as nice as it really shines.

It's the Sweet Simple things

Here is my current wip. I'm doing this for a friend who has a whole wall of all sorts of beautiful crosses and I think this will go nicely.

I wanted to do something quick after working on a couple of commissioned pieces. So I pulled out this Lizzie Kate boxer and whipped both pieces up in no time.

I'm home today so taking advantage of my down time. I happened upon a box of finishes that I started lacing and am working on them. I've got 8 laced and 4 pinned.  All have frames but I need to either paint or restain them to go with the pieces.

Here are 2 progress pictures as well as 2 finishes. I've hit the 3rd side on this one...soon will move to the last 4 pages which are half the size of the others.

These 2 will be cut out and backed with felt to be ornaments.

Some stitching finally

I finished the model I was doing the other day...can't wait for it to be released, I think it will be a poplar piece. :)  Sorry for the tease but I can't reveal.

I picked up this adorable piece for my cousin's first child...it was a fun and cheery piece to do...now to get it laced and framed.

I have a small exchange piece to finish up and I need to get working on a commissioned Silver Lining piece again...also have a few pieces I'm itching to start but will delay that for a few weeks.

Has been a busy couple of months around our house....Senior year activities and graduation for our daughter. Graduation party approaching then a bit of relaxation for momma.

still plugging away

I'm busy busy busy and am still working on a model stitch piece so nothing to show. I dislike not posting much but don't have any finishes to show at the moment. We, as most probably are, are ready for spring...today is a taste with spring thunderstorms and supposed to be in the 70's on Sunday. More and more warm days is a good sign. Happy stitching to you all.

Olympic stitching

Hope you all are making progress on your stitching. I am slowly while watching the olympics....I haven't done as much as I normally do.

I can't show a progress on my stitching as it's a model for a design that hasn't been released yet, sorry. So no pictures for today's post.

More Jewels

Primitive Jewels that is.
Here is another batch of models for her trunk show models. Each one I stitch I like better than the last. They are all so sweet and a stitcher could easily find a subject to their liking if not fall in love with all of them.

It's definately winter here

We have had more than our share of snow though it's been gone for a while but these below zero wind chills are getting old. It's been years since we've been this cold.
I loved this design as soon as it came out. I decided to do it over 1. I've done Halloweenies and may go back and do that one again only over 1 also.

Snowmaggedon progress

After 'undecorating' for Christmas and putting up my snowmen for January, then shoveling for a while(even though it continued and continued to snow) I finally sat down in the evening and finished up part 2. Again, the picture doesn't show the brassy look to the fabric but the sparkle shows up.

First finish of the new year

Here is part 1 all finished. This one is closer to how it looks....it is a bit more yellow than this and a bit of the sparkle is showing up in the picture.
I worked in the basement all morning/early afternoon and sat down to put the finishing touches on this before dinner....posting then will go back to stitching for the evening.

Welcome 2014

2013 was a good year for us, nothing too stressful but we will be having some changes this year with our daughter finishing her last year of high school and starting college.

My stitching goals, I don't really make ones like that as my choices change as the mood of what to stitch does....I do have a bunch of Prairie Schoolers I want to do as well as most of my stash. LOL But I KNOW that's not possible(most of the stash part) as I have wayyyy too much.

I had hoped to get my part 1 of Lizzie Kate Holly & Hearts finished before midnight but cooking, eating and then a brief doze(to get my 2nd wind) with stitching in my lap about 9 put me behind so I'm sure it will be done today as my first finish of the year.

I had 45 finishes for 2013...not as many ornaments as last year so the # was down but it's still a good # for me.
